Simon Bianchi art
Simon Bianchi is a comic book artist who began working in Italy in the mid-1990s. He moved to New York City in 2003 and met with artist Mike Bair, who introduced him to Peter Tomasi, DC Comics' editor at the time.
Tomasi offered Bianchi the opportunity to provide the artwork for Grant Morrison's script, Seven Soldiers: Shining Knight, which would become Bianchi's first published work in America in 2005.
He would also do much of the interior artwork for DC's Green Lantern, and the cover art for Batman from issue #651-654 and Detective Comics #817-839.
Bianchi also began working for Marvel Comics that same year, providing cover art for a number of issues for the series, X-Men Unlimited.
In addition to X-Men Unlimited, he also provided cover art for titles like Wolverine, Astonishing X-Men, Thunderbolts and Ultimate Origins.
In 2006, Bianchi signed an exclusive contract with Marvel, where he continued working on his original series Ego Sum, a trilogy. His work on Ego Sum won him the Yellow Kid Award for Best Italian Comic Artist and Writer of the Year in 2005 at Rome's Expo Cartoon Convention.
