Glenn Fabry first began working in the comic book industry in 1985. His earliest published work was drawing Slaine for 2000 AD, written by Pat Mills. Fabry would also collaborate with Mills on Scatha, a regular newspaper strip in 1987.
Fabry devoted more time to painting following this, painting for Crisis, Revolver and Deadline. He assumed the role of painting Hellblazer in 1991; the series was written by Garth Ennis at the time. He would continue to work with Ennis, providing the cover art for his series, Preacher, published under Vertigo. He would also draw for Ennis' stories Thor and The Authority.
Fabry drew the Sandman anthology Endless Nights, written by Neil Gaiman in 2003. The two would collaborate again in 2005 on the comic book adaptation of Gaiman's TV series and novel Neverwhere along with writer Mike Carey.
He is also a very prominent cover artist, providing dozens of series' cover art including the entire Preacher series, #1-66, Outlaw Nation, Transmetropolitan #50-54, The Dead: Kingdom of Flies, Hellblazer, Jacked #1-6, Vertigo Jam and Marvel Knights: Double Shot.
