Mike Collins began working in the comic book industry in the mid-1980s under the Marvel Comics United Kingdom division, producing comic strips for titles like Spider-Man, Doctor Who, Transformers and Zoids.
During this same time period, he also worked for the popular UK weekly comic 2000 AD, drawing Judge Dredd, Sláine and Rogue Trooper. He also wrote for the long running daily strip Future Shocks, which was featured in 2000 AD.
Collins also illustrated the limited series Laser Eraser and Pressbutton, published by Eclipse Comics.
While at Marvel Collins drew Uncanny X-Men #266, which was the first appearance of Gambit.
By the late 1980s, Collins moved to the United States to work for DC Comics, illustrating on key series like Batman, Superman, Flash, Teen Titans, Wonder Woman, and Justice League of America.
Collins has also drawn Star Trek comics and other TV and movie tie-in comics.
