Adam Kubert
Adam Kubert is the son of comic book illustrator Joe Kubert and a graduate of the The Kubert School in Dover, New Jersey where he studied illustration. His first professional work in the comic book industry came in 1984 when he began working as a letterer for DC Comics.
His first official published artwork was for the Sgt. Rock story, 'Gremlins' in issue #394. Kubert also drew the artwork for the spin-off limited series Jezebel Jade, which was derived from the Johnny Quest series, published under ComicCo in 1988.
Kubert has also collaborated with his brother, Andy Kubert, who is also a comic book artist on several series like Adam Strange in 1990 and then again on the crossover story Batman vs. Predator in 1992.
In 1993, Kubert started working for Marvel Comics, where he conducted some of his most popular work, such as providing the cover art and interior illustrations for 17 issues of Larry Hama's run on Wolverine.
In 1996 Kubert drew two separate one-shots, Onslaught: X-Men and Onslaught: Marvel Universe, which led to the launch of an all new crossover series, Heroes Reborn. The following year, Kubert drew twelve issues for Peter David's run on The Incredible Hulk, several X-Men issues and the first four issues of Ultimate X-men.
In 2005, Kubert and his brother Andy left Marvel for DC, working on a Superman story arc that was featured in Action Comics from issue #844-#847 and #851. He also worked on Batman and the Outsiders Special in 2009, before returning to Marvel once again to work on New Mutants, Wolverine: Weapon X and the Astonishing Spider-Man & Wolverine. In 2012, Kubert provided the pencilling for the crossover series Avengers vs. X-Men.
Kubert received the Eisner Award in 1992 for Best Inker on Batman vs. Predator. In 2008, Wizard Magazine rated him one of their Top 10 Hot Artists & Writers of the industry.
