Chris Achilleos attended the Hornsey College of Art. After graduation he became a regular contributor to both Heavy Metal magazine and Radio Times magazine.
He also provided cover art for many paperbacks, such as Conan the Barbarian and Star Trek. Chilleos was also the conceptual artist for the Heavy Metal movie; his best-known work was the promotional poster for that movie.
He also provided poster art for the movie Blade Runner.
Chilleos spent much of the 1980s proving rock bands with album art, and in the 1990s moved over to designing fantasy trading cards.
